  3. American West inspired lively images of
  4. cowboys and horses, such as his sculpture Off
  5. the Range (Corcoran Gallery of Art,
  6. Washington, DC) and his bronze Bronco Buster
  7. 1895, of which there are over 300 copies. His
  8. illustrations were published in Harper's
  9. Weekly. Later he became a war correspondent,
  10. covering the Indian Wars of 1890-91 and the
  11. Spanish-American War of 1898.
